Fee Protection

Success Master Institute (SMI) shall protect all course fees paid by students through the Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) as mandated under the Private Education Act 2009 and Private Education Regulations 2009.

No course fees shall be collected from students before FPS insurance is purchased. This is a mandatory requirement with no exceptions.

SMI shall maintain full transparency on fee components, payment modes and receipts in compliance with CPE requirements.

 

Student Contract

SMI shall use only the Standard PEI-Student Contract template version 4.0 or latest prescribed by CPE. No clause shall be deleted or amended. All blanks shall be completed. Contract shall be signed by student and parent/guardian if the student below 18 years.

 

Refund, Transfer, Withdrawal & Deferment

Success Master Institute (SMI) shall maintain fair, transparent and consistent policies for refund, course transfer, withdrawal and deferment that comply with the Private Education Act and CPE regulations.

All RTWD policies shall be explained during pre-course counselling stated in the Student Contract Schedule D published on the SMI website and displayed at the reception area.

SMI shall process all refund requests within 7 working days of receiving the complete request as mandated by CPE.

 

Refund for Withdrawal Due to Non-Delivery of Course

a) If SMI is unable to commence the course on the Course Commencement Date, SMI shall notify the student in writing within 3 working days.

b) Student shall be entitled to choose:

  1. Full refund of all fees paid within 7 working days from date of notification OR
  2. Transfer to another suitable course. If the course fee is lower, exceed shall be refunded within 7 working days

 

Refund for Withdrawal Due to Other Reasons

a) Student must submit Refund Request Form of Refu with supporting documents

 Valid Grounds for Deferment:

a) Medical reasons with MC from Singapore registered doctor

b) National Service obligations

c) Compassionate grounds: death of immediate family member

d) Other reasons subject to Principal’s approval

 

Maximum Deferment Period: 12 months from original Course commencement Date. Beyond 12 months student must re-apply as new student and pay application fee again.

Process: Student shall submit Deferment Form with supporting documents at least 14 days before Course Commencement Date unless due to emergency.

Fees for Deferment:

a) Administrative Fee: $50.00

b) Fees Paid: All fees paid shall be credited to deferred intake. If course fees increase in deferred intake, student shall top up the difference before new commencement date.

c) FPS: FPS policy shall be extended or new policy purchased to cover deferred duration.

Approval: Academic Head shall approve/reject within 3 working days. Approval letter shall state new commencement date.
